The Fault In Our Stars

And so another week begins! Happy Monday!

Since getting my Kindle for graduation back in June, I have been able to read more books for pleasure than I ever was able to during college. No doubt my favorite has been The Hunger Games series (honestly, if I had to pick one series to read over and over for the rest of my life it would probably be The Hunger Games... no joke), but I recently read a new book by John Green (one half of The Vlog Brothers on YouTube) called The Fault In Our Stars.

I really enjoyed this book, and I think many of you would too. The Amazon product detail describes it as:

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

I bought this book after seeing multiple YouTuber's mention it, and I am so glad I did. I obviously expected it to be sad (the main character has terminal cancer... How could it not be sad?) but I was surprised and impressed by how often I found myself laughing out loud at the characters interactions.

It is a page turner and therefore a very quick read; I read it in a day because I just couldn't put it down. If you are looking for something to read this weekend I highly recommend that you check this book out! If you do, come back and let me know what you thought!

Also, I'm always looking for new suggestions of books to read- so if you have read anything you really liked recently let me know!
